Livingston Legacy’s Delanie Harper fires a perfect game at Bridger Mountain Classic while Kenna Benzel goes yard and leads the Bozeman Stealers to a win Saturday night.
The tournament continues on Sunday. Play till the teams lose.
Delanie Harper has had quite the year, and we’re only half through 2024. First, she won Energy Share of Montana’s Statewide Art Contest in February. Next, she won a new bike in the Shields Valley Elementary School Books For Bikes reading contest and helped the school raise $4,800 towards new books for the library. This weekend, she has been playing in the 10U Bridger Mountain Classic Softball Tournament for the Livingston Legacy, where she threw a perfect game on Saturday afternoon to lead her team to a 14-0 win.
The team has been playing since Friday. They came back and won 5-4 against the Helena Gold Sox but, in reality, lost the same game due to a ridiculous rule 4-3 in their first game on Friday. Then they returned on Saturday, where they were defeated by a group of talented girls from Missoula 17-0. Delanie Harpers Perfecto led them into bracket play Sunday, where they will keep playing until they lose.
